Get inside the stadium with The Bluecoats!

This summer, go behind the scenes with the Bluecoats, as they rehearse in a college stadium near you. At The Blue Way Marching Band Clinic you’ll practice with the corps’ world-renowned staff, become a better leader with the Bluecoats drum major staff and leadership team, and even hang out with the corps while they rehearse on tour.

Experience Tracks

  • Woodwinds too! Spend a day learning the techniques & warm-ups that the 2024 Bluecoats learn! You’ll get to hang out with the horn line, get tons of behind-the-scenes rehearsal access, and listen to a Bluecoats warm-up inside the circle.

  • Spend a day alongside the Bluecoats battery! You’ll learn the techniques & warm-ups that the 2024 Bluecoats learn, get to eat meals with the Bluecoats, and learn from some greats. We’ll also throw in a brand new pair of IP Tom Rarick Signature Sticks!

  • Spend the day learning the same warm-ups that the 2024 Bluecoats colorguard learn! Get behind-the-scenes rehearsal access, and meet the 2024 Bluecoats Colorguard!

Sample Schedule

Schedule is subject to change.

  • Grab your free The Blue Way t-shirt, nametag, and lanyard.

  • Gather with other participants for a quick welcome session with Senior Education Advisor & Designer, Dean Westman and other senior staff at Bluecoats.

  • Break up into sections (winds, percussion, colorguard, drum majors) to start learning Bluecoats techniques & warm-ups!

  • Get behind-the-scenes access to Bluecoats sectionals! You’ll get an up-close look at what happens during sectionals.

  • Break back into sections to nail down everything you were working on during the first sectionals.

  • Eat a meal from the Bluecoats food truck & hang out with the corps during their hour-long dinner.

  • Get up-close with the 2024 Bluecoats! Watch them warm-up from inside their warm-up circle.

  • Learn what it takes to be a leader in a drum corps!

    Cincinnati session lead by Senior Education Advisor & Designer, Dean Westman.

    Minneapolis session by Bluecoats Brass Instructor & former drum major, Peyton Grunzke.

  • Watch the Bluecoats full corps ensemble! Peyton or Dean will walk you through what’s happening & why!
